Walmart Chief People Officer Donna Morris recently turned to AI tools such as ChatGpt and confusion, which helped identify potential candidates for the leadership roles of major retailers. As quoted in the Business Insider report, Morris said, “You'll be surprised at how close you're getting to the real sources that match those we've actually considered,” adding that he uses the tool when using it when “kicking off” senior positions such as Tech and HR Executives. Morris, who oversees the largest private workforce in the United States, said she still relies heavily on LinkedIn, but finds “easiness and speed” with AI tools when seeking insights about people.

She faceTiming her father and remembering to use AI to find out that traces of his skin were hurt from the changes in the medicine.“Access to information is incredible right now,” Morris said. “I think that's a real advantage for today's generations and generations in terms of knowledge and ability to gain insight.”A Walmart spokesman told Business Insider that Morris' use of AI was not part of company-wide employment practices and was applied in certain cases.

The company is making a big move with AI. In June, Walmart announced a pilot of AI interview coaches to help job seekers prepare their interviews by simulating up to 10 questions and providing scores and feedback. Earlier this month, the company also said it would roll out a tailored version of Openai's certification program through Walmart Academy.
