Workshop on the use of artificial intelligence to improve public services efficiency and productivity

A special workshop on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to transform public services into more productive and efficient entities was held today (15) at Temple Trees (15).

The workshop entitled “AI for the Change of Public Services” was attended by officials from the President's Office. It aims to serve as an initial orientation for the digitalization of public services, by promoting positive awareness of artificial intelligence within the public sector, while also raising awareness and preparing staff.

Dr. Hans Wijesliya, Senior Advisor to the President of the Digital Economy, gave a keynote address. Sanjaya Karunaseena, executive director of Sri Lanka's Information and Communications Technology Agency (ICTA), has also released a brief address.
ICTA board members Harsha Purasinghe and Samisa Abeysinghe then conducted a recognition session that incorporates a practical demonstration.

The event was attended by the secretary of Dr Nandica Sanas Kumanayake, senior secretary to President Roshan Gamej and several other senior officials from the President's Office.
