Investigators said police worked with the cybersecurity department and discovered that a YouTube channel named “Ky Su Bi Mat” had uploaded numerous videos containing fabricated horror-style stories about incidents that never happened in Da Lat.

The investigation revealed that between June and December 2025, the woman used AI tools to generate 415 fictitious storytelling videos aimed at attracting viewers and increasing engagement, in order to generate revenue from the platform.

Many of the videos had shocking and disturbing titles, such as stories of students buried alive, gruesome murders, and human bones allegedly found in everyday life. Although completely fabricated, the content was designed to arouse fear and curiosity.

The channel has been viewed over 10 million times and has over 113,000 subscribers.

During questioning, the woman admitted to the violation and vowed never to do the same thing again.

Authorities imposed an administrative fine of VND7.5 million (US$300) for “providing and sharing fabricated, false, distorted, or defamatory information that affects the reputation of an organization or the honor and dignity of individuals.”

Lamdon Police also urged social media users to be more responsible when sharing content online, stressing the need to verify information before publishing. He warned that misusing AI to create and spread false stories not only misleads the public, but also violates the law and will be dealt with harshly.
