Israeli giant Wix on Wednesday announced its first AI-focused product that lets you create websites using AI prompts.
With Wix Harmony, users can not only design a website in seconds instead of hours, but also refine the design via a chatbox with an AI agent.
A trial video shared by Wix shows a user creating a website using prompts and the AI creating a page made up of several sections, also using illustrated photos.
The assistant, which Wix calls Aria, appears next to your website so you can make modifications on the go without having to make a new render or restart a process.
According to the release video, the tool allows website details to “flow naturally from instant generation to pixel-level control.”
This tool doesn’t just focus on design. You can also generate interactive elements for your website.
Wix’s market capitalization fell from $19 billion in February 2025 to just over $4 billion in January 2026, according to NASDAQ data. A one-year comparison shows that the stock price has fallen 67% in the past 12 months.
With Harmony, Wix aims to regain confidence and continue moving toward its goal of becoming the world’s number one website motor.
“My goal and belief is that at this rate of growth, over the next five to seven years, 50% of everything new built on the internet will be done on Wix,” Wix CEO and co-founder Abishai Abrahami said in February 2025.
For the time being, WordPress maintains its number one position in the global market, powering approximately 60% of websites, compared to Wix’s 5%. This new AI tool aims to continue to drive Wix’s beginner-friendly heavy user base, and it seems like the first step in closing this distance.
