Will Rockstar Games' GTA 6 be delayed due to the strike?

Video game voice actors and actors are increasingly being influenced by the increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI) in video games and GTA6 As a result, it has come under scrutiny.

GTA6 It's now set to be released in fall 2025, after Rockstar Games' parent company Take-Two announced it during its earnings call in May.

With another Take-Two earnings call scheduled for August, when updates to the game are expected, there are concerns that the video game industry strike could affect the game's release. GTA6.

The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Performers (SAG-AFTRA), the American union that defends the rights of video game actors, said 98.32 percent of its members voted in favor of taking action.

The press release named Take-Two as one of several companies with which the union is negotiating.

“[The] The strike resolution comes after more than a year and a half of negotiations continued without an agreement,” the statement said.

“Games seeking to hire SAG-AFTRA talent to perform covered work must sign a contract… [which] It provides important AI protections for our members.”

“We will not agree to any contract that allows companies to misuse AI to harm our members,” SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher said in a statement.

“Enough already.”

This comes after a number of major video game studios have voiced their support for increased use of AI in the development of their products.

at first GTA6 It was expected that strikes would be in the works, but these were later withdrawn.

The terms of the strike are reported to affect matches starting in the second half of 2023. GTA6 It has been in development for several years.

It's unclear to what extent Take-Two will be affected, but at this time the strike doesn't appear to affect development or releases. GTA6.
