WhatsApp Video Notes Features: To improve the user experience, WhatsApp has introduced a new feature, Video Notes. With this feature, WhatsApp users can now send video notes as well as audio notes. This new “Video Notes mode” is available under the camera feature. However, currently this feature is only available to a select number of users but it is expected to be rolled out more widely soon.
How to use the Video Note feature
According to Wabetainfo, WhatsApp beta version 2.24.14.14 for Android, available on Google Play Store, reveals that the app is working on video notes and plans to release the feature soon. To send a video note, tap and hold on the camera icon near the chat bar. You'll see three options: video, photo, and video note. Selecting video note will allow you to record and send a video message.
Available on iOS, new shortcut buttons being tested
The Video Notes feature is also available on iOS version 24.13.10.76 and can be accessed through the Test Flight program. In 2023, WhatsApp introduced Instant Video Notes, allowing users to record and send 60-second video messages directly in chats. Recently, WhatsApp began testing a new shortcut button for quickly responding to video notes.
