The opinions expressed by entrepreneurial contributors are their own.
This September has been 1,000 days since ChatGpt entered public consciousness. In that short time, the world was subject to earthquake changes. AI has become a fundamental force that it was once a buzzword. Reshape the workflow, the executive office agenda, and the industry as a whole. No organization or country, big or small, was immune. Alongside the Claude, Gemini and Open-Source models, the Generation AI doesn't simply add functionality. It reset the pace of innovation, widen performance gaps, and reveals how few institutions were equipped to turn experiments into execution.
From education and businesses to pharma and public sector, one insight has proven to be consistent across verticals. Organizations that thrive with AI don't start with tools. They start with people.
Since the release of ChatGPT, I have worked with hundreds of organizations around the world as an AI keynote speaker, Transformation Advisor and Strategy Consultant. My work includes leading C-Sweet Leaders across the industry through keynote speeches, promoting AI innovation workshops, and turbulent AI adoption. From global companies and top universities to pioneers of national governments and biotechnology, the same patterns and the same obstacles are emerging.
In this article, we will be opening the “1,000 Days of AI” series. This is a practical and cross-sectional quest to what AI has already changed, what it is ahead, what it is, what leaders need to do now to build alignment, trust and momentum in an age of intelligent systems.

This is not an IT project
Many organizations have begun their AI journey by outsourced it. Generation tools like ChatGpt were passed to CIOS. A roadmap has been requested. The pilot has been announced. Platforms were compared. Meanwhile, momentum has slowed.
In contrast, the most adaptable organizations started by attracting employees. They looked at workflows, not technology stacks. They asked: Where does friction live and who understand it best? They then launched an internal sprint to solve a meaningful problem. Not everything has expanded, but it has revealed where the real opportunity lies.
AI is not a dashboard or a chatbot. It's a system-level catalyst. It touches all departments, including law, HR, finance, operations, marketing. It raises questions about ethics, accountability and the future of work. Organizations need to stop thinking about silos and start working across them.
The most effective conversions are not from the strategy deck. It comes from people who are trusted to rethink their daily work. Momentum continues as organizations create space for this type of thinking.
Intrapreneur Era has arrived
Some of the most influential applications of AI in the past 1,000 days have not come from senior leaders or external consultants. They came from within. Employees who noticed inefficiencies, tested their generation tools and found a better way. These internal changemakers, or Interplaze, are restructuring the organization from within.
During my leading strategy sessions, it is often the customer support agents who build knowledge bases with AI, compliance analysts who use large language models to automate documents, or professors who re-occurrence grading. These are not isolated moments. They are the standard for new innovation.
The most agile organizations express these efforts early, rewarding their actions and expanding what works. They do not wait for a formal initiative. They build a culture in which permission is replaced by participation. And they move quickly – not reckless, but confident.

AI is a multiple of culture
AI doesn't change culture – it reflects it. Tissue based on stiffness and control will experience the same thing. Building on curiosity, collaboration and transparency, those scale faster, learn faster, and lead the market.
The best performing organization starts with clear principles. The alignment precedes the acceleration. They ask employees what will slow them down and act on the answer. Replace static organizational charts with teams that go beyond functionality. They move from policy to prototype.
Governance is not an afterthought. It is embedded in the process. Law, HR, and compliance are not blockers. They are design partners. Together, they build an ethical, comprehensive and scalable system from day one.
AI is more than just a tool set. It is a leadership challenge. Organizations that stand up to meet it will build trust and change in parallel.
What's working
After providing hundreds of AI keynotes and partnering with organizations around the world, a new set of success principles emerged.
-
Start with the employees. Those closest to the work understand friction and how to fix it.
-
Distribute the functions. Do not limit training to technical teams. The best ideas often come from HR, law, and finance.
-
Run AI sprints like business design. These are not software pilots. They are quick experiments with new ways of working.
-
Collaborate governance. Build ethical and compliance guard rails.
-
Internal scale victory. Share your success stories. Build Intrapreneur Networks. Turn momentum into muscles.
These practices are not ambitious. They already produce measurable results for organizations willing to lead change.

You need boldness for the next 1,000 days
The experimental stage is over. Depth, speed and alignment are required for the next 1,000 days. The pilot must become a platform. Strategies should move beyond decks to daily actions.
The actual disparity is no longer between AI adopters and skeptics. It is between people who integrate AI into culture and decision-making, and those who simply deploy tools without changing the systems around them.
Technology is not what defines leadership in this next wave. This is the ability to build trust in AI, connect Syred teams, and redesign large-scale work. The future of work has already arrived. The currently acting organization shapes it.
Those who move with courage and clarity will flourish. Others will find themselves part of someone else's success story.
