Tesla CEO Elon Musk set social media ablaze with an AI-generated video featuring world leaders and celebrities in a futuristic fashion show. The post, captioned “Perfect time for an AI fashion show,” garnered more than 50 million views in less than nine hours after it was published.

The virtual runway featured a variety of global celebrities, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Donald Trump, Joe Biden, Vladimir Putin and Mark Zuckerberg, all wearing avant-garde outfits. Highlights included Pope Francis in a white puffer jacket, Putin in an off-the-shoulder Louis Vuitton outfit and Biden in a printed suit seated in a wheelchair.
Musk himself will make a cameo appearance in a Tesla-themed outfit, and other tech titans including Tim Cook, Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates will also grace the digital catwalk. Politicians including Kamala Harris, the Clintons and Bernie Sanders will also be added to the roster, along with international leaders such as Xi Jinping and Kim Jong Un.
The video ends with a clever satire of Microsoft's recent global outage, with Bill Gates holding up a “Runway of Power” sign which turns into a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error message.
Reaction on social media was largely positive, with users calling the video “incredible” and discussing their favourite contestants. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's red dress garnered a lot of attention, with many viewers declaring Modi the winner of the show.
