The video (here and here) has gone viral on social media, claiming it shows a train crumbling in the fierce seas of Ganga in Patna, but people and the media are watching the accident. Let's uncover the truth behind this claim.

Claim: Viral video shows a train collapsed in Ganga, Patna.
fact: The video is not real. Visual analysis shows multiple inconsistencies, and confirmed that it was created using artificial intelligence by Google's SynthID tool. Furthermore, no such train accidents have been reported from Patna. Therefore, the argument is error.
To verify the claims, we first conducted a keyword search to see if a train accident involving Ganga trains occurred in Patna. However, no such reports were found.
A closer look into the video revealed some contradictions and unnatural elements. For example, despite the flow of water, people and media staff standing near the scene are not affected. The language written on the train and media microphones is unrecognizable, and the train's voice is not similar to that of Indian railways. At one point, the person standing at the train door appears invisible. Such inconsistencies are typical of AI-generated videos, indicating that virus clips are one of them.

I ran it using Google's SynthID tool to see if the video was generated by AI. This confirmed that it was actually created using artificial intelligence. Although the source of the clips could not be independently tracked, available evidence strongly suggests that viral videos are being generated by AI.

Additionally, on August 26, 2025, PIB revealed on the X handle that the virus video was being generated by AI and did not portray the actual incident. They advised people to refrain from sharing such content as it can cause unnecessary fear and confusion.
In summary, a viral video showing a train crumbling and sinking in the Ganga River near Patna produces Ai and is not real.
