New Delhi (Vishwas News). A 10-second video purportedly showing a man destroying a Hanuman idol and then being attacked by a monkey is going viral on social media. Many users have shared this video believing it to be true.
Vishvas News investigated this claim and found it to be false and generated by AI.

Facebook user Ramendra Jha (archived version) uploaded this viral video on February 10, 2026, claiming, “A fanatical ignorant person came to destroy the idol of Bajrangbari, but the messenger of Bajrangbari taught him a lesson that stunned everyone…”

Vishwas News conducted an in-depth study and identified several ‘digital hallucinations’ commonly found in AI-generated content. For example, a hammer used to destroy an idol changes its shape at the end.
To confirm these observations, we ran the video through industry standard detection software.
Initial assessment using the Hive moderation tool confirmed that the video was created by AI and identified a 99% probability of AI manipulation.
To continue our investigation, we used another detection tool, SightEngine, and found that there was an 80% chance that this video was generated by AI.
Vishvas News investigated further and contacted AI expert Azahar Makwe who said that the viral video is fake. If you look closely at the tip of the hammer in the video, it looks like the hammer is melting and changing into various shapes.
Facebook user Ramendra Jha is followed by over 8,000 people. This account was created on May 24, 2022.
