[SINGAPORE] Vietnam-based AI (AI) company AI Hay has raised US$10 million in a Series A funding round led by Argor Capital.

Existing investors Square Peg, Northstar Ventures, Appworks and Phoenix Holdings also participated in the round.

AI Hay is a generic AI platform that answers user questions with contextual answers drawn from local content and peers and expert communities, as well as large-scale language models. AI Hay also offers personalized discovery feeds, theme communities and interactive social features.

The app has been downloaded 15 million times since March 2024 and answers more than 100 million questions each month.

Siddharth Pisharody, partner at Argor Capital, said:

The funding will be used to support AI Hay expanding beyond app-based experiences and product innovation in education and entertainment. AI peers will also be developed using this fund.

“We're committed to providing a range of services to our customers,” said Piruze Sabuncu, a partner at Square Peg. “I am excited to see champions born from the region set a strong example for other founders.
