Video: Get hands-on with Photoshop’s new retouching tools

AI Video & Visuals

With all the buzz around Lightroom’s recent noise reduction tool (read about it here) and Photoshop’s generative AI tools (here), it’s almost a no-brainer that Photoshop has another impressive new AI feature. It didn’t burn. Nick Page explains in detail in this video.

As Nick explains, the new AI removal tool is like a better Content Aware fill that significantly lowers the barrier to achieving professional-level retouching results.

This is accomplished by using generative AI to automate actions normally performed by the Clone Stamp Tool or the Spot Healing Brush.

The tool also seems to be learning, getting faster as the algorithm determines what tones and elements in the image need to be edited.

A quick test (above) showed that it took several passovers to completely remove some parts of the image, but they were eventually removed.

You can try the AI-powered removal tool for yourself in the latest version of Photoshop Beta.on the toolbar[削除ツール]It’s in the dropdown (look for plaster with stars around it).
