Glean Technologies, Inc., a US-based artificial intelligence company, announced the opening of its first India office in Bengaluru. The office will be the hub of its India operations and will house finance, sales, research and development (R&D), and business operations. The innovation hub will play a key role in enabling Glean's customers to scale their GenAI assistants and applications globally.
“We are excited to establish a presence in India, specifically Bengaluru, the Silicon Valley of India and a market with huge potential and stable demand for advanced AI solutions,” said Arvind Jain, Founder and CEO, Glean Technologies, Inc. “From our Bengaluru office, we will work closely with Indian companies to help them realize the full potential of their knowledge through our cutting-edge AI platform. Additionally, the office will serve as a key hub for our global operations and will drive the majority of our international projects. In fact, this will be our largest investment outside the US.”

Glean's launch in Bengaluru underlines the company's commitment to empower Indian enterprises through advanced AI technology. The company is aggressively expanding its client base in the Asia Pacific region and has forged partnerships with leading enterprises. This includes a top commercial bank in Southeast Asia, a leading ride-sharing platform in the region, a global electronics and entertainment company, and a global automobile manufacturer. In a short span of time, the company has grown multi-fold and now boasts of representing almost all its enterprise functions in India.
The company plans to triple its workforce from 150 to more than 450 by next year. The company says it has established itself as a day one employer for the top five Indian Institutes of Technology. The company has already hired 12 top students for December 2023 and plans to continue expanding its hiring efforts.
The company has raised over $350 million from top venture capital firms such as General Catalyst, Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia Capital, and Lightspeed and is currently valued at $2.2 billion. Additionally, Glean's annual recurring revenue (ARR) is growing at a staggering 300% year-over-year rate.
The company's new office is approximately 26,000 square feet and features a dedicated cafeteria, game room and collaboration space. The space was selected to accommodate the company's growing employee base over the next few years and foster an environment conducive to innovation and growth.
Other senior executives present at the company's event on Friday included Garvit Juniwal (R&D – Site Lead, Product Lead), Vivek S (R&D – AI Lead), Tapas Satapathy (HR Head) along with partners, customers and employees of Glean Technologies, Inc.
Glean said the roadmap for the next five years is ambitious, focused on advancing the frontiers of generative AI and agent automation. Since introducing its platform offering in preview to enable enterprises to build custom generative AI apps and agents securely at scale, more than 100 enterprises have created and deployed more than 1,000 unique AI apps and agents. The company said it has seen continued demand from enterprises looking for generative AI solutions that meet stringent security, data governance and permission requirements.
