University Assistant – PhD (B1/1, 50%), 4 years. Upon submission of the Thesis Consent Form, from September 15, 2023, the scope of employment in the Department of Design will increase to 30 hours per week (40 hours per week). Main work: Dissertations in the field of structure and design on the theme of “digital design strategy and automation” coordinated within the research group. Independent research and eligible collaborations in the fields of construction and design and research projects within the robotics laboratories of research groups. Contribute to and independently teach courses in the areas of construction and design that focus on assigned digital design and implementation methods. Cooperate in research, education and administrative work of Institutes, and participate in exhibitions, tests and evaluation measures. Preparation of research proposals, acquisition of external funding, cooperation in publication activities. Undertaking of organizational and managerial tasks in the field of construction and design. training and further education. administrative task. Required Qualifications: Diploma or Master’s Degree in Architecture with relevant professional and educational experience. Good skills in architectural design and solid knowledge of current architectural debates. A deep understanding of the interplay between design, structure, materialization and ecological factors. Excellent knowledge of digital design strategies, modeling methods at various scales. Knowledge of ML/AI is required. This must be presented in a detailed digital portfolio and attached to the application as a link. ; experience in prototype implementation and concretization with a primary focus on the digital fabrication process is preferred; Educational and/or professional practice experience. Good computer skills in related programs. very good english skills. Commitment, strong communication and teamwork skills, ability to work under pressure and motivate students.
