According to Ukrainian journalist Yurii Butusov, the Ukrainian sniper shattered the world record for the longest confirmed sniper killings, eliminating two Russian soldiers from an astonishing distance of 4,000 meters.
The historic shot, launched on August 14, 2025, comes from Ukraine's 14.5 mm alligator sniper rifle and was led by artificial intelligence working in conjunction with drone reconnaissance facilities.
The bullet thrusts into the window where Russian troops were located, just to the left of the visible rooftop pipe.

The record-breaking strike occurred in the Pokrovsk–Minorad line of defense within the responsibility zone of Ukraine's “Donetsk” operational group.
The mission was carried out by Pryvyd (“Ghost”), a separation of a combined sniper squad consisting of eight snipers from the Ukrainian ground forces.

Military reports show that the Pryvyd units have proven devastatingly effective, excludes nearly 1,000 Russian troops in the sector in the past year alone.
Surprisingly, the previous world records also belonged to Ukrainians. In November 2023, 58-year-old SBU sniper Vyacheslav Kovalsky used a Ukrainian-made multi-caliber horizon Lord rifle to remove Russian soldiers from 3,800 meters in the Kherson region.
