In the first major step by the UAE government to automate public services, more than 400 ministers and federal officials gathered to unveil the country’s government-run artificial intelligence agent.
These AI agents will be deployed across departments, from tax audits to customer support, with plans to convert 50% of all government services and operations to AI-powered systems within two years.

“More than 400 ministers and senior officials are developing and implementing 50% transformation of government services and operations through agenttic AI,” said Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai. “What we are building now is not just a government project, but a model that will inspire the world. Technology must serve people and improve their quality of life. This will remain the UAE’s enduring commitment to future generations.”

The first phase prioritizes four categories: civic services, resident services, business services, and other public-facing government services. We are also launching the largest federal AI workforce training initiative to date, building agent-based AI technology and governance skills for 80,000 federal employees, from ministers and senior executives to entry-level employees.
Last month, the Prime Minister announced The country’s intention is to have 50% of federal government work covered by “agent AI” within two years. These strategic moves accelerate the UAE’s Vision 2030 to transition the nation from an oil-dependent economy to a globally integrated, knowledge-based and diversified ecosystem.
