1. Amazon

Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) AI stocks still earn the majority of their revenue from online stores and third-party seller services, but the majority of their operating profit comes from the cloud computing business, Amazon Web Services (AWS). The company's extensive use of AI in a variety of businesses, and its enormous investments in AI infrastructure and development (management forecasts $100 billion in capital investments in 2025 alone) make it an interesting option to consider in this rapidly evolving industry.

Amazon uses AI for everything from personalizing shopping experiences on the flagship marketplace to optimizing product listings and seller performance. Amazon also uses AI to allocate inventory, forecast demand, and streamline delivery operations for its e-commerce business. Some of its fulfillment centers utilize AI-powered robots to automate tasks such as picking, packing and sorting.

Of course, AWS is the business aspect that most investors consider when discussing Amazon's advancement in the AI world. AWS provides computing power, storage, and tools that enable businesses to build and deploy AI applications.

The company has developed its own custom chips, Trainium and Imeferntia. This can provide the best cost alternative to traditional GPUs. AWS also features a wide range of AI and machine learning services for its customers, including machine learning models, natural language processing, and computer vision.

Amazon's net sales increased 9% to $155.7 billion in the first quarter of 2025. Net profit rose by more than 64% to $17.1 billion. In the AWS division alone, sales increased 17% year-on-year to $29.3 billion in the first quarter. Despite factors like tariffs can be heavier on the e-commerce side of the business, Amazon's ongoing AI expansion and more asset lighting businesses like AWS can continue to be a trend that lifts all boats.
