Trump shares an AI video showing Obama being arrested

Washington: Donald Trump, who has stepped up his attack on Barack Obama, has posted an AI-generated video about the truth about former President Obama being arrested inside an oval office.

The video shows Obama smiling as FBI agents are handcuffed from an oval office. The 45-second clip begins with a narration from Obama's doctor saying “the president in particular is beyond the law,” followed by a montage of American politicians (Democrats and Republicans) saying “no one has surpassed the law.” The video then moves into a fictional scene showing Obama being handcuffed by an FBI agent in the same office he once occupied.

It ends with an AI-generated image of a former president standing in a prison cell wearing an orange prison jumpsuit, as the villagers' “YMCA” plays in the background. There is no disclaimer attached to the video that makes it clear that it is fake or fictional. It drew sharp criticism from enemies who called this act “deeply irresponsible.”

The video said there was “overwhelming” evidence that senior Obama administration officials created the story of Trump-Russia conspiracy after the 2016 election, but was posted after National Intelligence Director (DNI) Tarshi Gabbard was posted. Gabbard has publicly called for criminal trials against members of the former administration, claiming that he used the Intelligence Reports Agency as a weapon to overturn Trump's presidency.

“Americans will eventually learn the truth about how intelligence was politicized and armed to lay the foundations of a long-standing coup against President Donald Trump in 2016 by the most powerful people in the Obama administration,” Gabbard wrote on X (formerly Twitter), adding that this effort would undermine American democracy.

She said she plans to forward her office, which was discovered by the FBI and the Department of Justice, for criminal referrals. According to her, the records show that there was no practical evidence of Russian conspiracy prior to the 2016 election, and that the stories around Trump were intentionally distorted for political purposes.

However, a 114-page declassified report from the Director-General of the National Intelligence (ODNI) shows another photo. According to the document, as of November 2016, the US intelligence agency had consistently evaluated Russia as “probably not using cyber means to influence elections.”
