- Freepik starts unlimited AI video and image generation for Premium+ and Pro Plans
- Model deployment will be gradually progressive, but will be supported soon
- Freepik may cost you in the short term, but you will become a long-term customer
Freepik deploys an unlimited generation of AI across the platform to pay for users. That means you're not limited to caps or credits like many other rival platforms.
Premium+ and Pro account holders have obtained unlimited AI video and image generation as Freepik will become one of the first major platforms to remove restrictions entirely.
Despite the restrictions being lifted, users are still limited in other respects – for example, the video is rendered at 768p resolution and using Minimax models from launch.
Freepik lifts AI limits
The company has pledged to add more models over time, with weekly launches planned in July 2025. Most are unlimited, like Minimax, but some of the more powerful models like the VEO 3 are limited.
“We knew it wasn't technology that pulls users back, it was friction in the model of use that was used, so we decided to eliminate credit and offer an unlimited generation,” explained Freepik CEO Joaquin Cuenca.
Cuenca hopes that accessibility, creativity and mass adoption will not monetize restrictions, but rather absorb technology costs to promote long-term platform loyalty, and ultimately lead to more sustainable revenue from long-term customers.
To access unlimited video and image generation, users must participate in one of two payment plans starting from $24.50 per month.
“That's the real revolution in AI. Not only in what it can be done, but in how it is placed in the service of people,” Cuenca added.
Details on upcoming models are not shared, but we know that with ChatGPT, Imagen 4 and Veo 3, Premium+ and Pro plans will give you priority speeds. It also provides early access to upcoming AI capabilities, with top-class professional customers quickly obtaining advanced AI models.
