Tom Brady threatens to sue comedian for AI stand-up video

The comedian, who produced a special based on A.I. Tom Brady, threatened to sue them over the recently retired quarterback.

On the “Dudesy” podcast earlier this week, comedians Will Sasso and Chad Kurtgen revealed that they’ve received a stop-and-stay order from Brady’s lawyers about the special.

“The aforementioned use of Mr. Brady’s name, image, voice, persona, and likeness, and any other unauthorized use of Mr. Brady’s name, image, voice, persona, and likeness, may be Immediate removal from social media, profiles maintained by Dudesy and/or its affiliates, or printed materials, from Patreon that contain infringing specials or portions thereof (including, for example, teasers, podcasts excerpted from infringing specials, short media, etc.) According to TMZ, the letter proclamation.

The first 10 minutes of the special were previously available on YouTube but have been removed.

The comedian has previously explained how he created Brady’s likeness.

“Using data from an amazing interview with Tom Brady and hundreds of thousands of hours of stand-up comedy footage, we simulated a one-hour stand-up comedy special,” says Dudesy Brand.

One of the jokes referenced the 2015 Deflategate scandal and his recent divorce from model Gisele Bündchen.

“Anyone using the app now? “I don’t really understand why,” AI Brady said in the special. [the dating app] Bumble. She said, “You look just like Tom Brady,” and I said, “I’m Tom Brady.” “Prove it,” she said.

Brady retired from football after two consecutive offseasons, initially saying he would cut his cleats in 2022, but announced his return 40 days later.

He signed a 10-year, $375 million contract to become Fox Sports’ top NFL color commentator, but told FS1 host Colin Cowherd he would take a gap year.

There was persistent speculation as to whether he would eventually take the job on that broadcast.
