Beijing: TikTok has introduced Symphony AI Avatars, a set of new features that revolutionize the advertising capabilities of its Symphony ad suite. The development aims to empower creators and businesses alike by leveraging generative AI technology to create customizable avatars for ad campaigns.
TikTok's AI-powered generative toolset, Symphony, now includes Symphony Digital Avatars, which allow users to create personalized avatars that resemble real people. The move marks a significant step up in TikTok's efforts to integrate AI-driven solutions into its platform.
TikTok's head of creative products, Andy Yang, highlighted the Symphony digital avatar's potential to expand creators' global reach and enhance collaborations with brands: “At TikTok, we aim to empower creators with the power of generative AI to bring their creativity to audiences around the world,” Yang said at the Symphony launch.
“Symphony Digital Avatars paves the way for creators to expand their brands and business opportunities on a global scale. We aim to invigorate the creator economy by investing in creative solutions that inspire joy, imagination and action.”
Symphony will reportedly offer users two types of digital avatars: stock avatars and custom avatars. Stock avatars will be created by paid actors, come from diverse backgrounds and nationalities, and can communicate in more than 30 languages. These avatars will provide a ready-made option for advertisers looking to quickly launch campaigns with global appeal.
Custom Avatars, on the other hand, give creators the freedom to design their avatar to their liking. This feature allows users to customize an avatar that is true to their brand and can convey their message in multiple languages.
