A sports website used artificial intelligence software to predict that former President Donald Trump will win 311 electoral votes and retake the White House in November.
President Joe Biden will receive 227 electoral votes but lose Pennsylvania, a state he won by about 81,000 votes in 2020, SportsCasting.com reported.
AI modeling shows Biden will lose the so-called “blue wall” of states he won four years ago – Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. Two other states won by Democrats in 2020 – Arizona and Georgia – will also flip to the Republican Party, the website said.
“In the Midwest, Trump's message resonated with voters in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, flipping the support in those key states,” a news release from SportsCasting.com said. “His rallies and campaign strategy that focused on economic issues and border security, among other issues, paid off.”
The software predicted that Texas and Florida would be Trump's strongest states.
“The fact that Pennsylvania flipped completely from a Democratic majority to a Republican majority shows how popular Trump is and how many Pennsylvanians doubt the Democratic Party and their ability to lead the country under 81-year-old Biden,” said Lee Astley, news director at SportsCasting.com.
