The video, claiming to show a market selling animals, reptiles, and insects like crocodiles and snakes in Thailand/China, is being produced by AI.

AI Video & Visuals

Videos are spreading on social media claiming that various animals, such as pigs, crocodiles, snakes, insects, and other insects, are on sale, and are alive and dead. He also received the same video on Tipline and claims it was from China. The video is shared as if portraying a real market. Let's see the truth behind this claim.

Claim: Viral video shows busy markets in Thailand and China where live and dead pigs, crocodiles, snakes and insects are on sale.

fact: The video is not from the actual markets in Thailand or China. The visible glitch, like a double-headed snake, the reptile part disappears and a sudden cut makes sure it is being produced. Google's SynthID tool validated the video as AI-Made. Therefore, the argument is error.

If you observe the video carefully, you will notice some contradictions. For example, the movement of the snake sometimes appears to be cut off suddenly, but in some places, two heads appear to emerge from one body, and certain body parts of the reptile are not visible for a while. These visual glitches strongly indicate that the video is being generated by AI. Such distortions are common in AI-Made content (here and here).

To see if the video was generated by AI, I ran it using SynthID, an AI detection tool developed by Google. The results confirmed that the video was created using Google's AI.

Furthermore, snakes and other insects are actually available in markets in China, Thailand and other countries (here, here, here, here), but this particular video does not depict the actual markets for these locations. Instead, it is generated by AI.
