There is a video showing passenger trains cleaned by floods becoming virus on social media, causing panic among viewers. The clip shows what appears to be a high-speed train drowning in violent waters, but nearby people can hear them scream in fear.
Many online users believe the incident took place in Patna, claiming that the train was washed away by the swollen Ganga River. But the truth is very different. Viral videos are not realistic at all. Created using Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Virus Train Videos are generated by AI
Several fact checks have confirmed that the footage is fully generated. A closer look reveals multiple contradictions. The writing of the train is unknown, the microphones in people's hands have strange texts, and the overall visuals look unnatural. Even the train itself doesn't resemble a real Indian railway coach.

In addition to this, there are no official reports from Patna or other parts of such train accidents. This caused the virus clip to have no connection to actual events and was either digitally created or misinformed for fun.

Videos like this add fear during heavy monsoons
The timing of this fake video has made it even more surprising to people. The virus clip was shared on X (formerly Twitter) on August 26th and has already attracted over 3 lark views, over 3,000 likes and hundreds of comments. Some people found it shocking, but many others quickly called it a fake.
Users request stricter rules for online content
The response to the video also highlights growing concerns about AI misuse.
The user said, “This is absolutely ill. Those who made it should find and be arrested.”
Another wrote, “It's time to ban Insta/fb/x. I'll only use it with Open KYC, which is updated every month. Maybe I'll create an encryption server.”
Others argued that the intention behind such videos was to undermine the image of Indian railways.
Individuals pointed to the lack of accountability, saying they were not monitoring how responsibly they were used while AI tools were released daily.
Ultimately, the virus train clips are a reminder that fake videos can spread faster than the facts. It is also important to review the information before believing or sharing it online.
