The power of AI, a new technology that is dominating the world, is now reaching the medical field. The diagnostic AI developed at Alicante was the semi-finalist of the 24th edition of Eawards Spain, focusing on emerging technologies that are changing the world.

Diagnoscan AI is an artificially intelligent tool that can generate detailed medical reports within minutes. Trained with a database of over 874,000 medical images, Diagnostic AI combines AI algorithms with language models to generate highly detailed and accurate medical diagnostic reports from MRI and CT scan images. For medical staff, new technology is changing the game. Because these reports can be generated within 2 minutes.

The technology has been developed in great interest as a paper project for young men studying at Abdelamoney Guamato Benauari, a young computer engineer studying at Alicante University. Benao Ali, an innovative creative, said, “The idea came from my paper. This idea worked with an artificial intelligence model to cooperate with medical image analysis. I detected that the diagnostic process from these images could take 30-90 minutes, or even days.” However, in their first model, they were doing it under the age of 2.

Benaouali aims to widely use new technologies in medical centres as a reliable tool for diagnosis and analysis. The tool can work with victims of intracranial hemorrhage and stroke, but researchers hope to be able to tackle other conditions in the future: different types of cancer, especially breast cancer.
