Hyderabad: The video claiming to show the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran has gone viral on social media.

Tensions are rising in Iran and Israel as the two countries attack each other. In this context, the video is circulating with the claim that it shows the destruction of Israel.

The video contains three clips. The first clip shows an airport with ruins with several planes surrounded by shards. The second and third clips blow away the skyscrapers in part where smoke comes out.

The video text reads, “This is not Gaza, this is Israel after the Iranian attack.” The video was shared on Instagram. (archive)

Fact check

Newsmeters have found that the virus claims are false. The video clips are generated by AI.

A closer look into the three video clips found some inconsistencies that pointed out that there was AI-generated content in the video.

The first clip shows an inconsistent rendered star of David, a six-point star formed by two mutually uniform triangles. In one of the frames, the plane appears to be mixed with the ground. The letters look like meaning.

Using reverse image search, we found that the first clip of the video was posted on an Instagram video shared on May 22nd.

The second and third video clips also contain debris around the building that appears unrealistic. The vehicles in the second clip appear to blend in with each other and transform into an entirely new vehicle, as shown below.
