AI For Business

Hello AJ readers!

Before I get into this week’s business news, I’d like to thank our readers for their patience. The disappearance of the Around the Hub column for two weeks wasn’t planned, but it’s finally back. Now, let’s get down to business.

This week we learned about Texas NTS. It is a Lubbock-based AI program that analyzes trustee sales notices from all 254 Texas counties. These notifications are compiled into a Texas NTS database, formatted in a consistent style, and shared with users. Creator and owner Curtis Siemens created this to make it easier for people to find foreclosed properties anywhere in the state and to allow them to acquire properties without having to auction them off.

“This gives people who want to invest in land in Lubbock the opportunity to invest in land outside of El Paso in the county and other parts of the state that would otherwise just sit unused or owned by a bank, making it a much better use of land than they would otherwise be able to do,” Siemens said. “It started with an insight for people who have already bought land or had it foreclosed on and wish they could have done better.”

This figure is included in May’s business summary. There were 12 business changes during the month, including 2 relocations and the opening of the Duos Edge data center, and no closures. Some of May’s most notable new developments include the Zoomie Zone indoor dog park, Total Wine & More, and the renovation and reopening of Inn Town Lofts as affordable housing.

We’ve finally decided on a review for this summer, so that project will be in the works for a few weeks. All I can say is that it will be a treat for meat lovers. stay tuned.

As always, thanks for reading and supporting AJ.
