At NAB Show 2026, Synamedia will demonstrate AI with Quortex, a framework that applies AI capabilities to video workflows on-demand rather than continuously. The system uses Quortex smart sampling technology to identify significant changes or events in a video or audio stream before invoking AI processing. The company says this can reduce the cost of understanding live video by up to 10x.
The framework leverages Amazon Web Services, including Amazon Bedrock for content understanding and AWS Elastic Fabric Adapter (EFA) for region of interest detection.
Quortex’s AI consists of three areas.
- Understanding the content: Automate chapters and highlights, enrich metadata, and discover content using Six Floor Solutions for real-time metadata tagging and live clipping, and Amazon Bedrock for AI-driven content understanding.
- Real-time processing: Captions, translations, and content adaptation. They include Lingopal for real-time AI translation and dubbing, and Yuzzit for live clipping and content verticalization.
- Simplified operation: AI-assisted deployment of natural language workflow configuration, automated report generation, proactive monitoring, and more.
