Swedish companies are moving from AI curiosity to action, says Dstny Sweden

AI For Business

As the demand for AI-enabled communications accelerates, the market is shifting from “looks cool” to “stays within budget.”

stockholm, December 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Swedish companies have decisively moved from curiosity to adoption of AI throughout 2025, with AI now accounting for 20% of new sales in Sweden. Destiny Sweden is expected to reach 30% in 2026.

“Earlier this year, our customers said, “This looks good, we can consider it.'' Now they're asking, “When should we implement it?'' Jonas Angleflod, Managing Director of Dstny Sweden. “FOMO is real. Businesses don't want to see their competitors get ahead of them and get left behind.”

Sweden, the so-called Silicon Valhalla, has emerged as Europe's AI development hub alongside London and the US, but Swedish companies remain cautious about adoption. Data sovereignty is also a key concern, as key use cases still lack some level of trust, and Dstny addresses this through its Swedish AI model running on Swedish infrastructure.

Customer demand is evolving in two waves. The first focuses on AI-powered insights such as call analysis and sentiment tracking. The second wave includes deeper automation, connecting AI to business systems like Magento and Shopify to handle tasks like order lookup and customer service.

“Customers no longer want to change their processes to fit our software,” says Jonas. “They want AI that works within their existing workflows.”

Dstny Sweden plans to release an automation platform add-on in January 2026 that allows businesses to trigger workflows based on sentiment, keywords, and custom business rules.

Looking to the future, Jonas predicts a shift from AI as a “sidekick” to AI as an “agent.” This means that the human workload will be gradually reduced, while humans will take on a managerial role coaching and supervising the AI system.
