The violent slapstick video captivating the dictator and Trump dunk has exploded in popularity on YouTube this year, becoming some of the most viewed political content of 2025.

With over 20 million views, nearly 150,000 likes, it hosts a variety of programmatic ads for Ketamine, “stack poop” solutions and “world's first mass-produced exo sales.”
This video is one of thousands published by a cluster of YouTube accounts posting short Tom and Jerry-style AI-generated skits depicting world leaders in humiliatingly slick scenarios. The range of the video is amazing. Since they began appearing earlier this year, they have gained over 2.2 billion views. (For context, the official White House YouTube account has generated 88 million views since it was founded in 2006. Comedy Centrals Daily Show It has been active in a total of 4.4 billion views over the past nine years. )
In many skits, Putin, Khamenei and Kim Jong Eun are portrayed as tricksters who mischievously, incarcerate or kill Trump and Netanyahu. Putin repeatedly dates Melania Trump, men often anoint each other, and three dictators trap Trump in various pits on the ground. Other recurring themes include wildlife attacks, leaders taking shafts and saws, oil pipes and vehicles made of fruit. Some highlights: Volgimir Zelensky planting explosives in Trump's toilet (the inevitable result), and JD Vance, who dresses the maid serving Trump McDonald as Putin, Kim and Khamenei, eats Khamenei from Eagle's Khamenei (eating Khamenei from Eagle and Khamenei) while making arrows with Eagle body Netanyahu
The video style set for Alvin and Shipmanx-style laugh tracks, curb enthusiasm theme songs and other comedic dishes is between the three storges and itchy and scarring shows, even when leading to the assassination of the leader. The accounts that publish the video are “just for fun” and say “it's not making anyone mad.” Forbes Account creators could not be contacted for comment.
What's mostly missing from the action is Xi Jinping, a Chinese independence learner. He appears in just a few videos, like Trump's shoes sparkle, and in another video where he makes him laugh out of hand while reading Trump. The art of trading.
Eight of the 10 most watched YouTube videos about Trump in 2025 came from this series of accounts, according to platform analytics company Zelf. The biggest, known as Make AI Great Again, first went viral in April after posting a video depicting US officials as sweat shop workers in response to an aggressive tariff announcement on China. The sweatshop video has previously been circulated on Chinese social media platforms and has been amplified by Chinese and Russian state media. Make Ai boasts that it is “officially recognized by the White House.” As evidence, White House spokesman Karoline Leavitt provides a link to the April video where he was asked about the Sweatshop video. The White House did not respond to requests for comment.
Since then, the account has continued to dominate YouTube discourse. Their videos also featured Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, French President Emmanuel Macron and Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Account Global President has gained over 660 million views since it was created in June, and has also produced a series of videos featuring Russian-backed Ibrahim Traore, who committed a coup to gain power at home in 2022 and has since committed to Europe and China.
Brett Schaefer, a senior fellow studying the media of the Alliance to ensure democracy and studying digital disinformation, said that with the choice of traore as the subject, along with XI's general absence, this could mean that video creators have geopolitical motivations rather than merely financial motivations. Traoré doesn't have high name recognition in YouTube's biggest market, so it's not a natural choice to attract likes and opinions. However, both China and Russia have invested heavily in propaganda activities across West Africa in recent years.
Schaefer said the Global President's accounts posted a video featuring Beijing's military parade and Venezuela's Nicolas Maduro, both posting videos celebrating Chinese mobile phones, a popular topic in Chinese provincial media.
Some accounts appeared to have different motivations than others. The MakeAiGreat Again account said it features the topic of the Chinese government. Schafer said the accounts were like foreigners — they “didn't read as something done by Americans” — pointing out that the people behind them may be politically and financially motivated. “Tangled motivations aren't uncommon,” he said.
The video does not violate YouTube policies. Because they are clearly identified as fictions in which AI was generated by the creator. YouTube regularly removes coordinated impact operations backed by the Chinese and Russian governments, but spokesman Jack Maron said in this case the company has not found evidence of coordinated activities. He said the company had deleted one account – a page called Cage Carnage, which had 119 million views.
Many of the videos shared by YouTube accounts are spreading to other platforms. At Tiktok, accounts that reflect “Make Ai Great Again” and “Global Presidents” YouTube accounts have accumulated almost 150 million views. Parallel accounts on Instagram reels also share much of the same content. Tiktok did not respond to requests for comment. Meta declined to comment.
YouTube did not answer questions about how much money the “world leader” video has made for either the company or the video creator. They also didn't answer any questions about why the platform pushed the video to so many people.
The scale of this trend surprised Schafer, a disinformation expert.
