Unlike other AI models that have been making waves in the public eye (such as Sora), Luma Labs has announced that they have released a new AI model and that you can try it out starting today.
Luma Labs reports that Dream Machine, which can be tested on the company's website, is a new AI model designed to create high-quality, realistic videos from text and images.

Introducing the Luma Dream Machine
Palo Alto-based Luma says its mission is to “build multimodal AI that extends human imagination and capabilities,” and its new Dream Machine AI looks like it exists to do just that.
This new AI is designed as a highly scalable and efficient Transformer model trained directly on video, which should be able to generate almost any shot a user wants in a physically accurate and consistent way.
Create action-packed shots and camera movements
The central selling point of this new Dream Machine AI, at least judging by these early demos, appears to be that it's a very cinematically-minded model that understands how people, animals, and objects interact with the physical world, allowing users to create videos with character consistency and accurate physics.
Right from the start, Dream Machine offers the ability to generate five-second shots with realistic, fluid motion, cinematography and all the drama that can come from it, and it's incredibly fast compared to other models, capable of generating 120 frames in 120 seconds.
The Dream Machine also seems to help him experiment with an endless number of fluid, cinematic and naturalistic camera motions to suit the “drama” of the scene he's creating.
