The showers of April bring the flowers of May and activity on the Edmonds College campus is in full bloom. The month of May hosts several events designed to help prospective students, job seekers, and community members explore the educational and professional programs on campus. All events are free. And anyone can participate.

Running Start Family Night (May 3, 6-7pm)
Parents and prospective students can join our Running Start Family Night on Zoom to learn how high school seniors and seniors can take tuition-free classes at Edmonds College. Students earn both high school and college credits and can earn an associate’s degree or professional technical degree by the time they graduate from high school. Former Edmonds College Running Start student and Director of the Running Start Program, Nell Collin, answers your questions.
Running Start is for all Juniors and Seniors. Whether you want to continue your English placement, GPA, or education, or get a job after high school, you can participate. When you enroll in the program, Edmonds College staff will help you find the right class for you. No one turns their backs.

AI for Everyone Event (May 13, 10am-2pm)
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is all around us and is constantly evolving. From self-driving cars, to helping you find the best route to your destination, to new uses for ChatGPT, the impact of AI in our community is everywhere. Understanding AI and how it can affect you and improve your life can be very difficult. Join us for the AI for Everyone event on Saturday, May 13th from 10am-2pm on campus at Hazel Miller Hall. The event is free and no registration is required.
AI for Everyone invites you to participate in three 45-minute informative sessions that discuss AI and its impact on our lives. Session topics included what AI is and how it impacts our lives, AI ethics and how it impacts business and culture, what Chat GPT is, including how to use it. Plus, check out his first-floor student showcase in Hazel Miller Hall. Student Showcases let you learn more about Edmonds College’s computer science and his web development programs, how AI is used in astrophysics, and explore the school’s robotics, rocketry, and drone clubs.

If you’re interested in a career in healthcare but don’t know how to get started, come join us for Health Career Day at Edmonds College. Whether you’re a high school student, college student, or simply looking to advance your career, you can connect with the industry and take your first steps into a rewarding medical career.
Faculty, advisors and representatives of Edmonds College’s health care programs, visiting colleges and universities from across the Pacific Northwest, and professional programs gather in the first-floor lobby of Hazel Miller Hall to discuss career options, paths to these professions, and Helps you explore college transfer information. .
Learn more about pathways in the fields of healthcare administration, dentistry, behavioral health, nutrition, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology/ultrasound, nursing, occupational therapy, and exercise science, regardless of where you are in your healthcare career search. Triton Visiting Day (May 26, 10am-3pm)
The entire community is invited to come and explore Edmonds College on Triton Visiting Day. While on campus, visit the bookstore and library, explore our newest building, Hazel Miller Hall, and attend information sessions and showcases for current and prospective students of all backgrounds. If you’re a high school student interested in getting a running start, a recent or upcoming graduate exploring post-secondary options, or looking to improve your skills with a new degree or certificate, Triton Visit Day is for you! .
