I'm reading Antrepreneur India, an international franchise of entrepreneur media.
Spike AI, the startup that developed an autonomous marketing intelligence platform, raised US$1.9 million in a previous funding round led by Sorin Investments, co-founded by Sanjay Nayar and Angad Banga. Other strategic investors including Bay Area-based principal venture partners and GSI also participated.
Founded in 2024 by Deepesh Kumar and Shrestha Pratik, Spike AI aims to autonomously analyze fragmented marketing tools, identify bottlenecks, and integrate them into a single system that can implement changes in real time. Its MAGI platform serves as an AI-driven growth team designed to deliver faster and measurable results.
“The $1 trillion marketing industry doesn't need any more dashboards or tools. It needs intelligent orchestration,” said CEO and co-founder Deephesh Kumar. “Spike AI offers a 24/7 AI growth team that delivers measurable results 10 times faster.”
CTO and co-founder Schresta Pratic said, “Most of today's AI is focused on speeding up old habits, but what if those habits weren't ideal?
According to the company, early users recorded an increase of over 40% in conversions. One early customer reportedly offered to acquire Spike AI before participating in the funding round.
“Spike AI is more than just a SaaS tool. It's the first real attempt to build a 'marketing brain' that can replace bloated agency workflows and instinct-driven marketing with measurable and intelligent growth,” said Mandar Dandekar, partner at Sorin Investments. “We are excited to not only build software, but also support bold, technically sound teams who rethink the foundations of how marketing works in the AI era.”
Dr. Sung Yiyun, managing partner at Principal Venture Partners, said, “It was the first principled approach to broken systems that attracted us to SPIKE AI. They don't just add AI to marketing. They're building an entirely new paradigm. We believe SpikeAI's technology could be marketing-based as much as Salesforce is CRM.”
The company plans to use the funds to expand its Magi applications across websites, paid media, SEO, email and influencer marketing.
