Amid growing concerns over the misuse of Sonakshi Sinha’s likeness through AI-generated content, the Delhi High Court has stepped in to protect Sonakshi Sinha’s personality rights.

The matter came before Justice Jyoti Singh, who considered the actor’s application for an injunction against the alleged identity misuse.
During the proceedings, the court asked for specific instances of infringement, with Sinha’s lawyer pointing out that the AI chatbot was suspected of misusing Sinha’s personality and attributes.
The court ordered the production of an electronic copy of the allegedly infringing link and allowed supporting documentation to be filed under seal within two days.
The case is currently scheduled for further hearing on July 6th.
The move follows a similar order protecting Ramdev’s moral rights, with the high court passing similar judgments against several public figures in recent years.
Among those who have received such legal protection are singer Jubin Nautiyal, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar, actors Kajol, R. Madhavan and NT Rama Rao Jr. Actor Salman Khan also approached the court on a similar plea.
