Solana wallet provider Solflare has released the alpha version of its in-wallet AI assistant, marking a shift towards intent-based conversational interfaces in cryptocurrency wallet design. The announcement was made at Solana Breakpoint 2025, with early access rolled out to a limited group of users through invitations and a waitlist.

The AI assistant is integrated into Solflare's web extensions and mobile applications, bringing natural language interactions to on-chain activities. Through a chat-based interface, users can execute trades, automate trades based on price and time conditions, set token alerts, and check social sentiment using real-time market data and signals from platforms like X and Telegram. A separate dashboard allows users to monitor, modify, and cancel automations.

This development reflects broader industry efforts to reduce friction in the cryptocurrency user experience, especially as on-chain activities become more complex and time-sensitive. Wallets are increasingly being positioned not only as storage tools, but also as decision-making and execution layers that aggregate data, automation, and execution within a single interface.

According to Solflare, the AI assistant is designed to translate high-level user intent into on-chain actions using a solver-driven architecture that coordinates execution across the Solana protocol. Despite automation, Solflare said all actions initiated by AI are still user-controlled and require manual review and confirmation before a transaction is completed.

“Cryptocurrency markets move quickly, but most people cannot monitor price movements, social sentiment, and portfolio changes all day long,” he said. Vidor Gencel, co-founder and co-CEO of Solflare. “Traditional interfaces create too much friction and the gap between intent and execution becomes a costly delay. Solflare's AI assistant uses natural language to instantly bridge that gap.”

The announcement comes amid growing experimentation with AI-driven tools across crypto trading, portfolio management, and DeFi, as the platform aims to abstract protocol complexity for both retail and advanced users. Solflare said it plans to gradually expand access to its AI assistant during the alpha phase and allow additional users to apply through a waiting list as the product matures.
