Softr launches AI-native no-code business software building platform

AI For Business

Artificial intelligence app builder startup Softr Platforms GmbH today launched a platform that allows users to build software that businesses run without writing a line of code.

With the company’s AI Co-Builder, business teams can replace spreadsheets and manual work with fully functional apps that include internal tools, customer portals, partner platforms, and other systems.

“For the first time, AI has brought the idea that you can build something yourself into the mainstream for millions of people. But most AI app developers stop at the shiny demo stage,” said Mariam Hakobian, co-founder and CEO of Softr.

The new Co-Builder system lets users combine both by providing prompts and visual flowcharts, as well as a no-code app design builder. Collaborative builders can iterate on your app and quickly add new features, user roles, and custom workflows. For example, you can also click the Approve button to send an email to your manager.

For more complex integrations, co-builders connect the integration to third-party tools and build main nodes and modules. Then, ask the user to authenticate to tools like Google Workspace, Salesforce, and Slack so you can take the next step.

Hakobyan told SiliconANGLE that Softr is fundamentally different from most vibecoding apps on the market today because it aims to create complete, ready-to-use applications. Vibe coding encourages users to keep prompting. Softr Co-Builder is about creating products that work on the first shot and then iterating on them.

When you ask for a “client portal to manage projects and requests,” they don’t just show you a screen, they provide an interface, database, user authentication, workflow automation, permissions, and third-party integrations. ” Hakobian explained. “Everything has been connected and working since day one. We solve ‘day two’ problems.” ”

Fundamentally, Co-Builder is designed to allow users to describe exactly what they need, helping them “get up and take action,” Hakobian said. Get an app that you can use right from the starting line.

Co-Builder also allows users to maintain and add functionality to the app. All the user needs to do is bring the app back to the platform and use a visual builder or natural language to describe what they want. This allows new functionality to be designed and integrated.

“The future of software will not be written, it will be created,” Hakobian added. “The next generation Everyone will be building software. It’s not because I’ve simplified the code; Creation has been simplified, making difficult things easy to build. ”
