- New advances in Snowflake Horizon Catalog and Snowflake Openflow allow enterprises to give AI agents access to all their data
- A new suite of developer tools powers Agent AI, allowing developers to deploy AI apps faster and more reliably
Snowflake, an AI Data Cloud company, today announced several product innovations to its platform. This allows organizations to easily deploy agent AI at scale and deliver reliable and accurate insights.
These enhancements include the general availability of: snowflake intelligenceis an enterprise intelligence agent that gives all users the ability to answer complex questions in natural language and provide instant insights to all employees. With the progress of snowflake open flow and Snowflake Horizon Catalogorganizations can drive more robust data insights by connecting all their data (structured, unstructured, and semi-structured) from disparate sources and catalogs to Power Agent AI. All of this happens within Snowflake’s secure, managed, interoperable environment with no vendor lock-in.
Snowflake also announced Enhanced suite of AI-native and collaboration tools Developers can now build, test, and deploy enterprise-ready AI apps faster and more securely, all within a single managed platform, while reducing overhead and total cost of ownership.
“For more than a decade, Snowflake has served as a cornerstone of global enterprise data strategies. Our next evolution is to bring AI to this data and enable every customer to unlock their own intelligence,” he said. Christian Kleinerman, Vice President of Products, Snowflake. “Our latest enhancements to the Snowflake platform make this possible, democratizing the power of AI and empowering every employee to make smarter, faster decisions, fundamentally changing the way our customers innovate for years to come.”
Snowflake Intelligence: All Knowledge. One trusted enterprise agent
snowflake intelligence is now generally available to Snowflake’s global customer base of more than 12,000 organizations. With a single question, Snowflake Intelligence can facilitate deep investigation and suggest solutions to traditionally difficult and time-consuming business problems, allowing users to move beyond the “what” to the all-important “why.” Built for reliability and scale, it’s enterprise-ready with trust, governance, and security at the forefront, allowing employees to confidently access and analyze data through natural language while ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information. This reduces guesswork in decision-making and fosters a new culture of data across the enterprise.
In the past three months alone, Snowflake has added more than 1,000 customers. Cisco, toyota motor europe, TS Imagine and USA Bobsled/Skeleton Team – Already leveraged Snowflake Intelligence to quickly and easily deploy over 15,000 AI agents across their business.
“Snowflake Intelligence has transformed our development timelines, reducing agent deployment from months to weeks. It has fundamentally shifted our team’s focus from writing code to prioritizing what truly creates value: building rich business context and robust semantic models,” he said. Thierry Martin, Head of Data and AI, Toyota Motor Europe. “The result is a significant competitive advantage: we can bring secure and compliant data solutions to market faster while eliminating data movement risks.”
Leverage industry-leading AI models from providers such as humanSnowflake Intelligence transforms complex queries into conversational insights, ultimately democratizing access to data and AI across the enterprise. With new innovations from Snowflake’s AI research team, Snowflake Intelligence makes text-to-SQL queries up to 3x faster and provides real-time answers with reliable accuracy. To increase the reliability and accuracy of responses, the team also pioneered a new evaluation method that resulted in the Agent GPA (Goal, Plan, Action) framework, which catches up to 95% of errors and achieves near-human levels of error detection when tested on standard datasets.
Snowflake offers an enterprise lakehouse with enhanced open data access and agenttic AI flexibility
Snowflake also announced the following advancements: Snowflake Horizon Catalog and snowflake open flow (now generally available) allows businesses to easily connect all their data from disparate sources and catalogs to drive more robust, accurate, and reliable AI-driven insights. Horizon Catalog’s new innovations provide the context for AI and a unified security and governance framework that protects and connects your data across any region, cloud, or format. Everything is interoperable and there is no vendor lock-in. Additionally, Openflow allows enterprise users to securely automate the integration and ingestion of data from virtually any source, making it easier to centralize data across the enterprise lakehouse.
Snowflake also unveiled the following advancements to make data more accessible to AI agents (such as Snowflake Intelligence) to drive value. All with consistent security and governance.
- By introducing open APIs, Apache Polaris™ (incubating) and Apache Iceberg™ REST Catalog Built directly into Horizon Catalog, Snowflake can now provide customers with an enterprise lakehouse that centralizes governance, security, and interoperable access management across open table data.
- and interactive table and warehouse (Currently in private preview) Snowflake is redefining how enterprises build and power AI agents and apps by helping organizations turn data into instant insights and near real-time experiences.
- and Near real-time streaming analytics (Private Preview Coming Soon), Snowflake enables organizations to act on live data within seconds using the tools they know and the secure platform they already trust. Customers can now combine live data with historical context to power mission-critical use cases such as fraud detection, personalization, recommendations, observability, and IoT monitoring.
- Snowflake is expanding its integration options through partnerships with. oracle (Currently in private preview) This enables customers to leverage near real-time change data capture built on Openflow to continuously stream transactional updates to Snowflake AI Data Cloud.
- Following Snowflake’s recent acquisition of Crunchy Data, the company introduced: Snowflake Postgres (soon to be in public preview) is a fully managed service that brings the world’s most popular databases to the Snowflake platform. Snowflake is also open source pg_lake (now generally available) is a set of Postgres extensions designed to help developers and data engineers integrate Postgres with powerful lakehouse systems.
- Snowflake also improves data resiliency. Business continuity and disaster recovery This further protects your company’s critical data across your enterprise lakehouse.
Snowflake announces new developer tools to power enterprise-grade agent AI development
Snowflake also announced a new suite of developer tools designed to help organizations build, test, and deploy cutting-edge, production-ready AI apps faster and more securely.
- Developers can now streamline their data workflows. cortex code (in private preview), an updated AI assistant within the Snowflake UI allows users to interact with the entire Snowflake environment using natural language. Cortex Code helps users easily understand Snowflake usage, optimize complex queries, and fine-tune results to maximize cost savings.
- With enhanced functionality, Snowflake Cortex AISQL (now generally available) allows developers to build scalable AI pipelines. snowflake dynamic table (now generally available) creates AI inference pipelines through simple declarative SQL queries. utilize AI editing Within Cortex AISQL, the ability to discover and edit sensitive data from unstructured data allows users to scale with more confidence, allowing them to prepare multimodal datasets for AI while maintaining security and privacy.
- Snowflake’s centralized development environment work space (now generally available) eliminates siled data work, enhances collaboration, and provides a unified editor for writing, organizing, and managing code across multiple file types. Workspaces are enhanced with direct functionality Git integration (now generally available), provides developers with a seamless way to review version control. VS Code integration (now generally available) so users can work from their favorite integrated development environment (IDE) and share code with the rest of their team.
- and Snowflake’s dbt project (now generally available) allows enterprises to build, test, deploy, and monitor dbt projects directly within the Snowflake environment, allowing engineers to focus on delivering insights instead of maintaining disparate tools and infrastructure.
