SK Telecom (SKT) announced that ‘K-AI Alliance’ partner representatives including Yoo Yong-sang will gather in Silicon Valley in the United States on June 16 to cooperate in business to lead the global AI ecosystem. He announced that he had discussed how to strengthen the company. .
The K-AI Alliance currently consists of 11 member companies, including Korean AI companies CMES, MakinaRocks, Scatterlab, and FriendliAI. At the K-AI Alliance Unite event, key executives, including President Yu, shared their AI migration vision and business plans with representatives from partner companies.
CMES, an AI robotics software developer, exchanged ideas on developing Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) pricing plans and how to leverage AI-based RaaS subscription business models for enterprises. RaaS is gaining traction as an alternative to additional personnel and infrastructure investments in enterprise automation.
SKT plans to invest KRW 15 billion (US$12 million) in Scatterlab in April to launch an emotionally rich conversational AI agent within its AI chatbot ‘A.Dot’ service. SKT also shared AI core technology and synergy strategies with MakinaRocks, an industrial AI company, and FriendliAI, an AI development platform company.
