Samsung Galaxy AI features will be added to these devices: check if your device is on the list

AI News

Galaxy AI and Circle to Search were key selling points when the Galaxy S24 series launched earlier this year. Last month, the South Korean smartphone maker decided to bring these features to bring Galaxy AI to its 2023 flagship devices, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Z Flip. However, it looks like Samsung plans to add these key features to older flagship phones like the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 as early as next month.

According to a report from 9to5Google, citing a forum post by a Samsung employee, Samsung plans to add Galaxy AI features to its entire 2022 and 2021 flagship product lineup as early as next month. This long-awaited feature will reportedly roll out to these devices in his One UI 6.1 update in early May.

Notably, this post only mentions flagship devices, so other Samsung devices such as Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy Tab 8 FE are not eligible for the update. Additionally, the 2022 flagship devices that get the OneUI 6.1 update will reportedly only be offered with all AI features, offering “Galaxy S23 FE level AI.” This means that certain features, such as instant slow motion, are not available on older devices.
