
Reuters has added AI-powered discovery tools to its Reuters Connect software.
This new technology aims to help users find content faster through automatic transcripts, translations and identification of celebrities in videos. Reuters’ innovation team built this capability in-house by fine-tuning machine learning (ML) models to generate automated analytics.
Users will find time-coded speech-to-text transcripts organized in an interactive scene list and the ability to translate multiple languages into English. The technology also identifies and tags celebrities in videos, allowing users to navigate to scenes featuring them.
In addition, subscribers can replay live events, listen to soundbites, and create clips of ongoing and completed live events, enabling immediate broadcast of Reuters content and efficient sharing of highlights and social content. public disclosure becomes possible.
Apart from AI technology, the metadata of the service has been enhanced.
