These structural tailwinds have focused financial institutions’ attention on VisionWave Holdings (NASDAQ: VWAV), VSE Corporation (NASDAQ: VSEC), Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), TransDigm (NYSE: TDG), and HII (NYSE: HII).

Agencies expect backlogs to increase by more than 10-15% year over year as governments convert budget commitments into multi-year procurement schedules[3]. VisionWave Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: VWAV) recently entered into a strategic exchange agreement with Israeli high-tech company SaverOne 2014 Ltd. (NASDAQ: SVRE) in a three-stage deal valued at $7 million with tiered stock consideration. Assuming milestones are achieved and shareholders approve, VisionWave could end up controlling approximately 51% of SaberOne’s shares on a fully diluted basis. Both boards of directors unanimously approved the transaction after BDO Consulting Group provided an independent impartial opinion on the transaction structure.

The partnership focuses on combining VisionWave’s radio frequency sensing and AI analytics with SaverOne’s existing VRU (vulnerable road user) platform. Think of it as adding a new layer of detection functionality to your existing safety system. Standard optical cameras and LiDAR have a difficult time when targets are hidden behind walls, obscured by weather, or squeezed into cluttered terrain. Radio frequency sensing can penetrate the blind spots where traditional systems are obscured. Management believes that a commercially deployable RF hardening system that addresses these hidden threat scenarios could be ready for demonstration as early as 2026, pending continued development and validation testing.

SaverOne will be an operational hub for certain RF-based defense and security applications, backed by a non-exclusive global license to VisionWave’s RF sensing technology. The integrated platform targets covert threat detection, counter-drone sensing, perimeter security, battlefield situational awareness, and RF-based threat classification across military, homeland security, and critical infrastructure deployments.

VisionWave recently featured its qSpeed ​​compute acceleration engine, which was independently valued at $99.6 million by BDO Consulting Group. This technology addresses significant delays between detecting a threat and actually responding to it by reducing computational cycles from minutes to seconds. We prioritize the most important calculations first and quickly deliver initial conclusions that continue to improve as more data flows in. The company reports early progress integrating qSpeed ​​into its WaveStrike RF-enabled fire control system and Argus counter-drone technology.

On the intellectual property front, U.S. Patent No. 12,499,578 locks down mandatory protections for the radio frequency sensing and AI architecture that underpins both Argus and its SkyWeave high frequency communications backbone.

VisionWave is expanding into Southern Europe through its subsidiary Solar Drone Ltd, securing follow-on hardware orders and sales contracts covering Italy and Spain for the critical infrastructure maintenance market. The company’s universal adaptation kit allows you to integrate rugged payloads of over 200 pounds into third-party drone fleets. VisionWave plans to invest up to $10 million in U.S.-based development over the next six to 12 months to accelerate its commercialization schedule.

VSE Corporation (NASDAQ: VSEC) has entered into a transformational acquisition agreement to acquire Precision Aviation Group for approximately $2.025 billion in cash and stock consideration. The combination creates a leading independent aviation aftermarket platform and will increase VSE’s full-year 2025 estimated pro forma aviation revenue by approximately 50%.

“This acquisition is a pivotal moment for VSE and a major milestone in our strategy to build a large, differentiated and profitable aviation aftermarket platform,” said John Cuomo, President and CEO of VSE Corporation. “We have long admired PAG and believe it is a very strategic fit within the VSE portfolio.”

VSE’s consolidated adjusted EBITDA margin is expected to exceed 20% in the coming years as integration and synergy initiatives progress. The company anticipates more than $15 million in annual synergy opportunities through cross-selling, outsourcing product support and repair, operational efficiencies, and supply chain improvements.

Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT) has signed a framework agreement with the Department of the Army that will quadruple production capacity for Terminal High Altitude Area Defense Interceptors from 96 to 400 aircraft per year. The company plans to break ground on a new military acceleration center in Camden, Arkansas, leveraging advanced manufacturing, robotics and digital technologies.

“We are committed to furthering the Department of the Army’s vision to advance acquisition reform by entering into additional framework agreements for critical munitions needed by the U.S. military and allied nations,” said Jim Taiclet, Lockheed Martin Chairman, President and CEO. “Today’s agreement to quadruple THAAD production means we have more interceptor missiles than ever available to deter our adversaries.”

Lockheed Martin plans to invest billions of dollars over the next three years to expand production and build and modernize more than 20 facilities across Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Massachusetts and Texas. Since 2016, the company has increased deliveries of six critical military items by more than 220%.

TransDigm (NYSE: TDG) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Jet Parts Engineering and Victor Sierra Aviation Holdings for approximately $2.2 billion in cash, including certain tax incentives. The companies generated combined revenues of approximately $280 million for the calendar year ending December 31, 2025.

“We are excited to have reached an agreement to acquire Jet Parts Engineering and Victor Sierra, both well-run and profitable businesses that are a perfect fit for TransDigm,” said Mike Lisman, CEO of TransDigm. “Both companies’ highly engineered and unique OEM replacement parts and services generate nearly 100% commercial aftermarket revenue.”

Both companies are leading independent designers and manufacturers of aerospace aftermarket solutions with unique, highly engineered PMA components. Jet Parts Engineering serves commercial, regional and cargo airline customers and MRO providers. Meanwhile, Victor Sierra Aviation focuses on general and business aviation through brands such as McFarlane Aviation and Tempest Aero Group.

HII (NYSE: HII) has successfully completed sea trials for the USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000), making it available for extensive modernization as the Navy’s first conventional prompt-strike platform. Ingalls and the Navy team conducted a comprehensive series of sea tests, including the integration of the conventional Prompt-Strike weapon system and the replacement of the original twin 155 mm advanced gun system with the new missile tube.

“Together with our Navy and industry partners, we have achieved a critical milestone in advancing this complex, precedent-setting modernization of the Zumwalt class,” said Brian Blanchett, President of Ingalls Shipbuilding. “I am extremely proud of our team’s effort and the important role it played in advancing the U.S. Navy’s first hypersonic-capable warship.”

USS Zumwalt arrived at Pascagoula Shipyard in August 2023 for modernization and was moved ashore, where the Ingalls team completed major technology upgrades. The USS Lyndon B. Johnson is also undergoing CPS weapon system integration at Ingalls, and the USS Michael Monsoor is scheduled to receive a CPS system during a future availability period.
