As concerns grow over deepfake videos, Ranveer Singh issued a warning on his Instagram Story.

after superstar Aamir Khan Actor Ranveer Singh has issued a warning over a deepfake video of himself purported to be an election propaganda for a particular political party, becoming the latest victim of a threat sweeping the industry. Recently, a video of the Padmaavat actor surfaced online in which he is said to be expressing his political views. However, it turned out that the video was created using artificial intelligence voice clones of the actors. While the video from the actor's recent visit to Varanasi looks authentic, the audio is from his AI-powered voice clone of Ranveer.
The actor, who is married to Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, recently turned heads at an open-air fashion show along the Ganges River in Varanasi, along with Kriti Sanon, another prominent face of the industry. The show was planned by top fashion designer Manish Malhotra. During his visit to this ancient city, which happens to be one of the oldest pilgrimage sites in the world, Ranveer appreciated the changes brought about by overhauling public infrastructure, while also calling the city a “sacred” experience.
