Golden Analytics, an AI-native business intelligence platform, has emerged from stealth with $7 million in seed funding to redefine how organizations interact with data. This round was led by NEA and Madrona, with the Breakers also participating.
Seattle-based Golden Analytics is building a platform that combines the analytical power of enterprise BI tools with the ease of use and design of modern creative software. The company aims to streamline the entire analytical workflow and allow users to go from raw data to fully developed dashboards in just a few steps.
At the core of the platform is a generative AI system designed to automate traditionally time-consuming tasks such as data preparation, visualization, and presentation. The system can interpret datasets, uncover insights, generate dashboards, and generate output for presentation while allowing users to interact through natural language, direct manipulation, or complete automation.
The platform’s signature feature is what the company calls the “Slider of Autonomy,” which allows users to control how much work is handled by AI or manual input. This design allows both experienced analysts and non-technical users to tailor the experience to their needs, striking a balance between automation and hands-on exploration.
The company was founded in 2026 by Francois Agenstad, a long-time leader in the analytics field. Ajenstat began his career at Cognos, then went on to lead product initiatives across SQL Server and Office at Microsoft, and served as chief product officer through Tableau’s IPO and acquisition by Salesforce. Building on decades of experience, Ajenstat launched Golden Analytics to address years of complexity and stagnation in the BI category.
Golden Analytics is launching an early access program starting April 7th, aiming to gain momentum in the rapidly evolving AI-driven analytics market. The company positions its platform as a reimagining of business intelligence, designed to remove the friction between questions and answers while preserving human judgment in the analysis process.

“This is the first real opportunity in decades to fundamentally rethink analytics. For decades, analytical tools have asked humans to adapt to the software. We built Golden to reverse that. The software adapts to you, so you can focus on the insights, not the mechanics.”

“NEA has long understood the need for data-driven enterprise decision-making, from our early investments in Tableau to our current investment in Golden Analytics. We believe Francois is building the next generation of AI-native BI to deliver on the decades-old promise of leveraging data for decision-making. For the first time, Golden is reimagining how we interact with data through visual analytics, integrating storytelling, design, and autonomy.”
Madison Faulkner, NEA Partner
“Golden Analytics is designed from the ground up for the AI era, reimagining the entire analytics experience today. Francois has lived through every generation of BI from the inside, and that background gives him the authority to understand what’s broken and the trustworthiness to believe when proposing what comes next.”
