Brigham Young University's Sandbox alumni Jason Lowe and Tanner King are dedicated to unlocking the power of customer insights for B2B marketing teams.

With extensive experience in the startup ecosystem and a background in cutting-edge business research, Lowe recently noticed a huge gap in sales and marketing alignment and a lack of customer data to power marketing decisions for small businesses. He found a surprisingly simple way to fill that gap: using artificial intelligence to help marketers automatically collect and act on customer insights.

Mars was officially born in November 2023. Since then, Lowe and King can say their software is up and running smoothly and selling fast. Small businesses have reported that the company has had such a big impact on their marketing success that Lowe and his team decided to jump in and make it a full-time business.

While it was pretty surprising to hear that marketing might not have enough information, the team reported that Mars had already gained some loyal customers who were tired of spending hours manually gathering fruitless, biased insights from sales and customer success teams.

While most call intelligence platforms analyze recorded sales and customer success conversations, extract insights tailored to sales teams, and report summaries back to the company’s sales department, Mars extracts marketing-specific insights and leverages them with AI for its marketing teams, saving time and exceeding the capabilities of current competitors.

Companies use Mars in conjunction with the sales-focused platforms they already use, so they don't lose out on sales intelligence and instead gain valuable understanding that drives marketing success. Insights Mars extracts include customer pain points, concerns and motivations.

According to Rowe, marketing teams typically have to work their magic with the information they receive from sales and customer success teams, but those insights are often biased and unreliable, resulting in missed revenue and hours of wasted time. Mars has successfully bridged this gap and provided marketing departments with unfiltered, actionable insights, making nearly every marketing function faster and easier. With technology like Mars', even small businesses can market to their audiences in a meaningful, data-driven way.

If you're a small to mid-sized business with 30-500 employees looking to empower your marketing department to make more customer-based decisions, Mars is worth considering. Mars helps you automatically surface and leverage impactful customer insights to scale your business with ease. Check it out now at https://getmars.ai.
