European HRTech activity in 2025 will be characterized by steady investment across AI-powered recruitment, workforce and talent management platforms, providing useful context for a new follow-on round of Global Work AI.

In neighboring regions, Prague-based Talentiqa has secured €1 million to expand its AI-powered first interview assistant, while Italy’s Skillvue has raised €5.5 million to further develop its skills-based recruitment platform.

Spain has been particularly active, with Madrid-based Orbio raising €6.4 million for its AI-native HCM suite and Shakers raising €14 million to expand its freelance talent platform. Germany is also seeing activity, including initial funding for Berlin-based Emerge Tech to support AI-powered employer branding tools and a €12 million Series A for Cologne-based Ordio to advance payroll automation.

The total value of these comparable 2025 rounds amounted to approximately €40 million, demonstrating continued investor appetite for AI-enabled HR infrastructure across Europe.

In this context, Global Work AI stands out by addressing the candidate rather than the employer side of the market, an area with relatively few funded entrants this year.
