Pika Labs introduced a new AI (AI) social IOS app on Monday. The app, called Pika Social AI Video, allows users to take selfies and convert them into short videos generated by AI using a platform integrated model. In addition to the new app, the Palo Alto, California-based AI startup has also introduced a new video generation AI model that allows native audio generation to generate, allowing users to create videos of any length.
Pika Labs unveils new AI models, social apps
In a blog post, the AI startup announced the release of its AI app. Currently available only on iOS, individuals need an invitation code before signing in to the app. The company last month launched a waitlist that featured users of platform selection numbers and can now be registered by others. Pika Labs also highlights the soon-to-app arrival of Android apps.
Called Pika Social AI Video, this app allows users to generate videos generated for short AI using selfies as input. There are also some customization tools. This allows users to add and modify elements to their selfies.
Additionally, users can also ask the video model to generate specific output using a text prompt. Once the video is generated, users can use their social feed to share it with others. Apart from creating videos from scratch, the platform also allows users to choose the same setup as another shared video and build on it.

In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), the official handle of Pika Labs announced new features for the platform. We are releasing a new video generation model that natively generates audio and allows you to create “hyperreal” almost instantly. The startup also claimed that the tool can generate HD videos in any style and any length within 6 seconds.
Currently, it is unclear whether this is a free feature or whether users will have to pay a subscription fee to access the model. Pika Labs has also not disclosed this feature if it is possible for the app to be released.
