Personal AI will make us superhuman

Mustafa Suleiman, co-founder of DeepMind and CEO of Inflection AI, said in an interview with CNBC on Tuesday that personal AI assistants that can do everything from shopping to negotiating on behalf of users are the future of AI. I said yes.

Suleiman, who sold AI firm DeepMind to Google in 2014, said this kind of personalized AI system would dramatically change the way we work and live.

“This is just the beginning of the revolution. Everyone will have AI, companies, brands, organizations,” Suleiman said. “AI will be able to represent its own values, sell you things, persuade you, and be very helpful in certain ways.”

Suleiman said Pi can be used for many things, but it’s especially useful to help people make decisions or as a conversational partner.

“People are using this tool to weigh difficult issues. They are making difficult life decisions and want to consider both sides of the issue. Suleiman isn’t the only tech leader who thinks personal AI assistants will revolutionize how we use technology.

In May, Bill Gates said at a Goldman Sachs and SV Angel event that personal digital AI agents could eliminate the need for search engines and productivity websites. He said these AI agents could fundamentally change human behavior as they perform tasks for us that require some research. There are signs that the world’s largest search giant had the same idea. Suleiman said he expects search engines will sooner or later be affected by this kind of transformation as well.
