Peak, the artificial intelligence company, today announced the general availability of its agent-like AI assistant, Co:Driver, which combines the power of large language models (LLMs) with each organization's proprietary data and generated output from existing Peak predictive AI products to improve productivity across the enterprise.
Peak is used by global industry leaders such as Nike, Molson Coors, Marshalls and Eurocell. Its AI products optimize inventory and pricing using predictive AI techniques such as machine learning algorithms and statistical models to forecast trends, patterns and forecasts from each company's unique data sets. Co:Driver applies an LLM-powered auxiliary interface to a company's predictive AI output to speed decisions, surface opportunities and automate routine tasks.
AI agents interact with the environment to collect data and perform pre-determined tasks to achieve goals set by humans. Using rational decision-making, AI agents independently choose the best action to take to achieve optimal performance. Co:Driver uses these agent workflows to continually surface actionable, business-specific recommendations and empowers users to query business data using natural language question and answer capabilities to let the AI analyze and deepen understanding.
“AI in a business environment must deliver value in the form of both improved performance and productivity, delivering a competitive advantage,” said Richard Potter, CEO and co-founder of Peak. “Co:Driver provides much-needed context to the power of generative AI. It is the perfect partner to help business teams perform optimally on repetitive tasks, while freeing up time for creative, strategic or mission-critical activities. Co:Driver empowers any business to achieve superhuman outcomes.”
Co:Driver has three core capabilities centered around product support, data exploration, and explainability of AI-generated output.
Accelerate the development of AI skills
Users can ask Co:Driver questions in natural language about how to use Peak's AI platform. Co:Driver is trained on Peak's user guide and onboarding documentation so users receive specific instructions on how to perform requested tasks. With this in-platform conversational user support, Co:Driver users enjoy an enhanced user experience and support in the development of their AI skills.
Increased AI decision making
Co:Driver allows users to ask questions of their data to uncover insights that previously would have taken hours to interpret manually or would have been missed entirely. For example,What is the average lead time for SKU 567? or “What are the top 10 SKUs that are out of stock in Germany?” This capability helps businesses understand key areas to focus on and make decisions towards achieving their business goals.
The next release of Co:Driver will further enhance decision-making by continuously searching for information, efficiencies and anomalies that may be of interest to the user and presenting them as concise recommendations. Users can then choose their preferred next step from a host of AI-generated actions.
Increased explainability and reliability
Co:Driver's conversational interface allows users to ask questions like: “Why is SKU9174 priced at £1.50 each?”Co:Driver provides users with detailed information about the calculations and parameters that led to the predictions.
Helping team members understand and trust AI results should be a priority for business leaders, as this naturally supports AI adoption and creates a virtuous cycle as teams make more AI-powered decisions, see the positive results from them, and free up time to focus on strategic or creative tasks.
“After an extensive period of testing with customers, the general availability of Co:Driver marks an important milestone in Peak's product development,” said David Bowen, vice president of product at Peak. “We continue to invest across our product suite and have recently made significant upgrades to provide our customers with cutting-edge AI solutions.[1] “Both our pricing AI and inventory AI products.”
