The Patna High Court has ordered the Congress party to remove AI-generated video showing Heylaven Modi, the late mother of social media platform Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On Wednesday, Patna High Court ordered Congressional parties to defeat AI-generated “deepfake” videos. Prime Minister Narendra ModiMothers on all social media platforms.

They also issued a notice to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi along with social media platforms Facebook, X and Google.

The order was pronounced by the Supreme Court justice of Pb Bajantari.

Rahul Gandhi, the federal government and the Election Commission were also nominated as respondents in the petition.

“The court issued notices to Gandhi, Facebook, X and Google while ordering an immediate withdrawal of the video,” Election Commission's lawyer Siddharth Prasad told news agency PTI.

After the party's Bihar forces posted an AI-generated video on social media, Congress party fired fire, indicating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi dreamed of his late mother, Heiraben Modi.

The video sparked political lines when BJP leaders denounced the Congress.

The party has previously attracted anger at the parliamentary-led stage by videos of unknown people. Voters' Adakal Yatra'In Bihar's Darbanga, it surfaced on the internet, casting abuse with Prime Minister Modi and his mother.

The first information report (FIR) was then submitted to Congress leaders to spread the video generated by AI, which is allegedly deteriorating the reputation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother.

The complaint was filed by Sanket Gupta, convener of the BJP Delhi election cell.

The FIR cited multiple sections of the 2023 Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

However, Congress has argued that nothing has been shown to the Prime Minister or his mother.

Last week, Bihar Congress also said it had launched an internal investigation into the video.

Top sources within the party said it would first determine who is responsible for sharing content before taking further action.
