The US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) hopes to significantly expand the use of artificial intelligence in the coming months to streamline support for the patent examination process and reduce patent and trademark latency.
“USPTO is looking for US industrial partners motivated to promote national transformation of AI infrastructure, with the aim of helping improve the patent and trademark testing process, reducing application backlogs and protecting applicant data from domestic and foreign IP theft,” the USPTO said.
